Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP)
Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP) PDF
The Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan is:
A framework for the continual improvement of the Village’s park and open space system, taking into consideration our existing and future residents and community visitors.
An up-to-date plan ensures that the Village is eligible for State and Federal park and recreation grants, specifically for a five year period after the plan has been accepted by the DNR.
This document works hand-in-hand with the Village’s long range plans, including the Master Plan, as well as with ordinances related to development. We wish to also be consistent with the State and County’s plans.
In summary, we want to take a look at our parks and rec planning with a fresh set of eyes to ensure we’re staying up to date with our community’s needs.
The Village of Summit is a unique place to Visit Stay & Play! We have four parks: Peter Prime Park, William Jones Subdivision Park, Genesee Lake Road Park and Atkins Olson Memorial Park. All parks are open for recreational use including a sledding hill at Genesee Lake Road Park (weather permitting).
